Description
Light, fresh, and perfect for summer! These shrimp tacos are loaded with crunchy slaw and creamy sauce. Great for Taco Tuesday!
Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper
- 8 small corn or flour tortillas
- FOR SLAW:
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- FOR CREMA:
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Make crema: Mix sour cream, lime juice, garlic, and salt. Set aside.
- Make slaw: Toss cabbage with cilantro and lime juice. Season with salt.
- Season shrimp with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat a large skillet over high heat. Cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
- Warm tortillas in a dry pan or directly over a gas flame for char marks.
- Assemble tacos: Tortilla, slaw, shrimp, drizzle of crema.
- Serve with lime wedges and hot sauce!

Shrimp Size: Large shrimp (16-20 count) work best - cook evenly and look impressive!
Frozen is Fine: Frozen shrimp are flash-frozen on the boat - often fresher than 'fresh' at the store!
